Chris Nowak’s background is in Counseling with licenses in the State of Indiana in Mental Health, Addictions, Marriage and Family and School Counseling. She graduated from St. Lawrence University with an M. Ed. in Counseling and Human Development in 1983. She earned an MBA in 2011. Her experience as a clinician and administrator includes work in private practice and mental health and addictions treatment, as well as serving as the Executive Director of a local non-profit addiction treatment center. Her recent experience includes four years as a school counselor in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend Catholic Grade Schools. Chris is a certified trainer with QPR (a suicide prevention model) and is a certified trainer for the national Mental Health First Aid program. She is a member of Saint Joseph Parish in South Bend and is married with two grown children. She has been on staff at Catholic Charities as a therapist since October 2019 and as the diocese’s Clinical Liaison and Clinical Supervisor. This is Chris’s first year at St. Anthony and she is excited to be part of the St. Anthony community.
