The St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School Pre-Kindergarten Program is a Christ-centered introduction to education that fulfills the needs of the whole child. We tenderly care for our preschoolers, nurturing their faith and love of one another with activities and simple prayers–all so that they might come to know and love the Lord in their own special way.  

St. Anthony School is excited to announce that our Pre-K program has earned a Level 3 Paths to QUALITY™ rating! Paths to QUALITY™ is Indiana’s statewide quality rating and improvement system for early care and education. It consists of four levels and each level builds on the foundation of the previous one.

 

Our goal is to provide an early learning opportunity for Pre-Kindergarten children, ensuring they begin their formal schooling eager to learn and ready to succeed. Our Pre-K program features:

• An On My Way Pre-K Accreditation & is a CCDF provider.
• A Christ-centered education based in Catholic values. Our Catholic faith is incorporated into the curriculum in an age-appropriate manner through the development of prayer life and the knowledge of the Church seasons and holidays.
• Participation in “Specials” classes such as Art, Music, P.E., and Library.
• Regular social engagement & mentoring with their 8th grade Panther Buddies.
• Attendance at Mass with their 8th grade Panther Buddies once per week & on Holy Days.
• A 3-Star rating in Paths to Quality, & is accredited as an Unlicensed Registered Ministry.
• Activities in a large classroom taught by a teacher with an early childhood background.

Pre-Kindergarten Acceptance Criteria

Pre-K students who will be 4 years of age by August 1, 2026 will be enrolled at St. Anthony Pre-K program for the 2026-27 school year on the priority basis below until capacity for the class is reached:

1. Siblings of current students
2. Children of parishioners/teachers
3. Catholic non-parishioners
4. Non-Catholics 

If class capacity has not been reached by June 1, 2026, enrollment will be opened to students who will be at least 3½ years old by August 1, 2026. Please note that students who are 3½ years old will initially attend on a half-day schedule, ending at 11:30 a.m. Families may request to be added to the waitlist for enrollment prior to June 1.Once a student turns 4 years old, they may begin attending for the full day beginning the day after their fourth birthday.

All Pre-Kindergarten students must be fully toilet independent prior to their first day of school.
