At our Catholic school, we are committed to providing every student with an excellent education grounded in faith, academic achievement, and a love of learning. We regularly review student performance data to understand where students are thriving and where additional support or enrichment may be needed.
Our Reading Plan provides a structured, evidence-based approach to literacy instruction, with regular assessment and targeted intervention to help every student become a confident and capable reader. Our curriculum is aligned with diocesan and state expectations while integrating Catholic faith and values throughout the educational experience.
Our mathematics program is aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards for Mathematics, ensuring that students receive instruction in the essential knowledge and skills expected at each grade level. We regularly monitor student progress through classroom assessments, benchmark data, teacher observations, and state assessment results. This information allows teachers to identify students who may need additional support as well as students who are ready for enrichment or greater academic challenges. When a student demonstrates a need for additional mathematics support, teachers work with families to develop an Individual Math Plan. The plan identifies specific areas of need, targeted interventions, strategies for support, and measures of progress. Student progress is reviewed regularly so that instruction and interventions can be adjusted as needed. We also believe that great teachers are lifelong learners. Utilizing the Indiana Teacher Effectiveness Rubric 3.0 (commonly known as RISE), teachers receive ongoing feedback and professional development through regular evaluations, classroom observations (both short and long), and collaboration with colleagues and school leadership. These processes help us celebrate strengths, identify opportunities for growth, and continually strengthen instruction.
These processes provide a framework for continuous improvement—ensuring that our school remains responsive to the needs of our students and faithful to our mission of forming the whole child: academically, spiritually, socially, and personally.
